Improvisation is the art of thinking on your feet and off the top of your head. It's unscripted; shoot from the hip and on the spot. Improvisational comedy is rapidly becoming a major player in the entertainment industry, as seen with the recent success of the hit TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Improv is hotter now than ever! Live Improv Comedy has seen success around the country with groups like Chicago's "Second City" and "The Groundlings" based in Los Angeles. Both have been the playground for a number of successful comedian/actors, many of whom can be seen on Saturday Night Live, primetime sitcoms and various comedy venues around the country. So how does "The Valley of the Sun" play in the worldwide phenomenon we call Improv? How does Phoenix measure up to the high standards created by the industry leaders of "On the Spot Comedy"? More importantly, does Phoenix have what it takes to run with the "BIG DOGS"?

YOU BET! And the Jester'Z Improv Comedy Troupe is Arizona’s “BIG DOG”.

There is no need to search outside of the valley for high-caliber, quick-witted improv comedians. The Jester'Z are made up of local actors & comedians ranging in age from 18 to mid-40's and ranging in backgrounds from college students to computer programmers, from school teachers to engineers. Represented by AZ top acting agencies – the Jester’Z are AZ top improv comics & actors. Come see for yourself!!

Shows
The Jester'Z perform every Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 & 10pm at Theater 168. Tickets are $12 for all shows. There is no age restriction and never a drink minimum. (Concessions available at the snack bar)

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 480-423-0120. Seating is based on first come first seated and begins at 7:20 & 9:45 – if you have a reservation for the 8pm, please arrive no later than 7:55 – any unclaimed seats may be given to stand by patrons unless paid for in advance with a credit card...

Large groups of 8 or more will need to purchase tickets in advance with a credit card.  Group rates are no longer offered.   If you have any coupons or discount coupons or complimentary tickets – please inform us when leaving your reservation and surrender them at the box office upon your arrival. Discounts & VIP passes are not available for use during special engagements unless otherwise noted. Also inform us if you have any special needs: hearing, vision, wheelchairs, walkers, young children, allergies to peanuts, blonde, etc. We’ll accommodate as best we can.

Classes
In addition, for anyone interested in learning improvisation, Theater 168 offers weekly classes in Beginning, Advanced, and Performance Improv. The classes teach you step by step the fundamental rules and guidelines of improv and are regarded as a "must take" by local agents and acting coaches. Private Performances
The Jester'Z are available for hire. Either we can come to you – or your group can rent out Theater 168 for your educational, corporate and private performances and workshops. Improv workshops for corporate and educational teambuilding are fun and entertaining as well as informative and enlightening.
